    Composition

    Brake pads are generally composed of steel plates, bonded heat insulation layers and friction blocks. The steel plates must be painted to prevent rust. The SMT-4 furnace temperature tracker is used to detect the temperature distribution of the coating process to ensure quality. The insulation layer is composed of materials that do not transfer heat, and the purpose is to insulate heat. The friction block is composed of friction material and adhesive, which is squeezed on the brake disc or brake drum to generate friction when braking, so as to achieve the purpose of vehicle deceleration and braking. Due to friction, the friction block will gradually be worn. Generally speaking, the lower the cost, the faster the brake pad wears. After the friction material is used, the brake pads should be replaced in time, otherwise the steel plate and the brake disc will be in direct contact, and the braking effect will eventually be lost and the brake disc will be damaged.

    Precautions

    1. Under normal driving conditions, check the brake shoes every 5000 kilometers, not only check the remaining thickness, but also check the wear status of the shoes, whether the degree of wear on both sides is the same, whether the return is free, etc. The situation must be dealt with immediately.

    2. The brake shoe is generally composed of two parts: iron lining and friction material. Do not wait for the friction material to wear out before replacing the shoe.

    3. When replacing, replace the brake pads provided by the original spare parts. Only in this way can the braking effect between the brake pads and the brake disc be the best and the wear is minimized.

    4. Special tools must be used to push back the brake cylinder when replacing the shoe. It is not possible to press back with other crowbars, which will easily cause the brake caliper guide screw to bend and cause the brake pad to jam.

    5. After replacement, be sure to step on the brakes to eliminate the gap between the shoe and the brake disc, causing the first foot to not brake, which is prone to accidents.

    6. After the brake shoe is replaced, it needs to run in for 200 kilometers to achieve the best braking effect. The newly replaced shoe must be driven carefully.
